or the longest time have I been asked by friends (who know that I develop websites) why I don’t upload some images of my scenic country.

Well, to make a long story short, it was obvious from the beginning that this would not end with just a few pictures, making database management with elaborate search functions essential. So I finally decided to do it and use the advanced Photo Gallery script from Coppermine.  It met the criteria to prompt a rather involving script setup & template design.

I have set up the permission so that registered users can create their own private albums to share with family and friends only, or make them public to contribute. Uploading media is easy via the web browser, and features like slide show, rating, adding comments, or send out e-cards are nice extras. So, if you feel doing something different, your keyboard could instigate some fun.

For advanced users I can provide even FTP server access for batch processing large numbers of pictures. So friends hang tight, the wait is over and slowly but surely albums and categories will mature.

Thanks to those who suggested this, and I'm glad that I finally bridged the gap from the usual some day I'll find the time, to just go ahead and make the time. After all, tomorrow might never come...

and if not me, who? If not now, when?

Anyway, I had pleasure with the development, because creation is continues, and the greatest boredom buster. Limit that useless brain drain (TV) and invent, build, learn, read, create something, and soon you'll find that you can create what you want to be a part of.

Best to all,

Bruno
